BAM! is a European-born idea, that provides a potential solution to a global scale problem. It fits within the European Green Deal strategy, that aims to transform the EU into a fair and prosperous society, with a modern, resource-efficient and competitive economy, where there are no net emissions of greenhouse gases in 2050. In addition to technology development, the project will be an opportunity for young researchers to acquire cutting-edge knowledge, enabling them to become research leaders within this European climate policy framework.

Currently, we are looking for:

 

PhD student at Wageningen University, who will look into detail on the effect of earthworms on the weathering, how they interact with the other biota, and how the weathering environments affects worm health. This is a 4 year position, starting September 1st 2021.

Postdoc or PhD Student at University of Antwerp, that will guide the reactor development. PhD student at IDLAB IMEC/UAntwerpen, that will build machine learning models for an accelerated reactor design. We need a person with significant machine learning skills and an interest in Earth science applications. We are looking for a PhD student with a strong interest in time series analysis, causal machine learning, active learning and reinforcement learning.
